The TBEC and the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine agreed to institutionalize multi-year joint efforts in the fight against tuberculosis and further strengthen the response measures to challenges in the field of public health within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation, signed on the occasion of World TB Day.
It was also a great honor for the TBEC team to receive gratefulness from the Center for Public Health and recognition of the high professionalism, significant efforts to TB prevention, and invincibility in wartime conditions, demonstrated by our Executive Director and Programme Manager.
For our part, we wish to acknowledge the true leadership role of the Center and making tremendous efforts towards containing the TB epidemic during wartime, the dedicated work of the Center's team and especially Yana Terleeva's NTP in supporting the country's anti-tuberculosis system and the prompt adoption of strategic decisions that have already saved many lives of people with TB in Ukraine.
