A 2-day National Forum "The Role of CSOs and TB Community in Implementing the Decisions of the Political Declarations of the 2023 UN High-Level Meetings in the Context of the Implementation of State Policy to end TB" was held in Kyiv with the support of TBEC.
The Forum brought together experts from key national civil society organizations and communities, representatives of the Public Health Center, the CCM Secretariat, international experts, and leaders of regional and local non-governmental organizations and communities affected by TB from across the country.
At the event, participants discussed the fundamental principles of global and national strategic documents in the context of engaging the non-governmental sector in TB response activities. The result of the Forum was the development by participants of a 3-year plan of non-governmental sector activities, taking into account the rCSOs and TB communities' Key Asks outlined in the UN Political Declaration on TB, other international strategic documents, and key national documents.
The Forum was organized by the Alliance for Public Health, “Stop TB Partnership Ukraine”, TBpeopleUkraine, and TB Europe Coalition with the support of Stop TB Partnership and funding from UNOPS.
