TB Europe Coalition, among the 15 organisations, signed an appeal to
representatives of the Council of Europe. In
the letter, we called for leadership to ensure that the Council includes
advisory language in its Conclusions on the new EU Global Health Strategy
calling for the Commission to prioritize investments in tuberculosis (TB)
vaccine research and development (R&D) during Strategy implementation.
The letter has been sent to the Ministers of Health and Ministers of Development/Foreign Affairs, Permanent Representatives of the EU in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and Sweden. By this time we have received plausible responses from Belgian and Swedish representatives.
