The online course on the Standardised Package of Community-Based Support Services to Improve TB Outcomes has been re-launched on the updated WHO Academy platform.
This course provides basic training for representatives of civil society organizations (CSOs) and TB-affected communities on the delivery of support services included in the Standardised Package, while ensuring the required level of quality.
The Standardised Package was developed in 2021 by the TB Europe Coalition in collaboration with the WHO Regional Office for Europe and the PAS Center. Its aim is to complement medical TB services, ensure more comprehensive and continuous care, and thereby improve TB prevention and treatment outcomes for all people, including vulnerable groups.
For ease of use, the online course is structured into individual modules corresponding to the 12 support services, and also includes a module on costing methodology.

Modules were developed by experts representing civil society and TB-affected communities, WHO, national TB programmes, medical professionals, and international experts. All contributors have extensive experience in the TB response.
Each module includes:
- a welcome video from the module expert,
- a lecture in presentation format,
- short animated videos,
- reflection exercises,
- additional materials for deeper learning.
Modules can be completed in any order, either all 13 as a comprehensive course or selectively, depending on your current needs and interests.
Currently, the course is available only in English.
