We would like to thank the speaker David Branigan and all the participants of the second practical webinar from the series "The ABC for a TB Activist" which took place on 15th June 2023.
During the online event, which was dedicated to advocacy campaign 1/4/6х24, the speaker covered the topics:
- What is the 1/4/6x24 scheme about?
- Why is the introduction of short regimens so important for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of people with TB?
- The effective advocacy strategies for scaling up access for regimens and detailed consideration of the main requests and target groups of the campaign.
During the Q&A session, we discussed the possibilities for CSOs and TB-affected communities to include advocacy activities aimed at implementing short regimens in countries’ proposals for the new Global Fund allocation cycle. We also learned about the experience of different countries in the introduction of short treatment regimens and the barriers that our colleagues face in their advocacy.
