The webinar “From Price to People: Access to Medicines and Advocacy for WHO-Recommended TB Treatment Regimens” took place

On 5 December, the TB Europe Coalition (TBEC), in partnership with the Centre for Global Health Policy & Politics (GHPP) and the Treatment Action Group (TAG), held a webinar dedicated to access to medicines and advocacy for WHO-recommended TB treatment regimens. The event, organized within the COMBAT DR-TB project funded by Unitaid, brought together 85 participants from various countries and regions.

The webinar helped participants connect global discussions on medicine access with community-level action, strengthening their ability to advocate for fair, sustainable, and people-centered approaches to TB treatment.

Mike Frick, Co-Director of the TB Project at the Treatment Action Group (TAG), spoke about advocacy priorities and what activists need to know about WHO-recommended TB treatment regimens.

This was followed by presentations from Sharonann Lynch and Agrata Sharma of the Centre for Global Health Policy & Politics (GHPP), who shared the most up-to-date information on medicine prices and access challenges across different countries.

After the presentations, participants had an opportunity to ask questions and comment on the issues discussed.
